I started work some 50 years ago and now specialise in providing business advice,coaching and mentoring to business owners and members of their management team. On a personal level I am full of passion and enthusiasm for the work that I do otherwise I simply would not do it. I am past the stage of being driven by simple financial reward. I need to get the buzz from knowing that I have brought real value to a business and given it the tools to grow and develop. I never make any assumptions about the state of a business and always make a thorough assessment of the foundation blocks of the business and put in place an action plan to implement any opportunities for improvement that have been identified. This assessment will include discussions with employees and customers to ensure all the pieces of the jig saw fit neatly together. Experience tells me that this is not always the case. From then on it is about looking at the business data to see how well it manages the following three pillars that are fundamental to any successful business: - Your Finances - Your People - Your Customers If a client gets these three correct then they are well on the way to having a very successful business. It is only then will we look at developing a strategy for the ongoing growth and development of the business which will be measured against appropriate success criteria, goals and targets. There is no magic wand to wave over a business, no false promises, just hard work, drive and determination and an absolute focus on what needs to be achieved. This approach has brought me significant success in helping to develop client businesses and in testament to this I have many examples of very positive feedback received from clients which can be made available to any prospective client. I am so confident that my approach will deliver value to my customers then if you are not happy with the results of my work then you need only pay me what you think I am worth. A bold statement but one that I am comfortable with. -
